Old Forge Weekend
FROM STICKBOY COFFEE- Old Forge, New York – Saturday September 11 and 12 2021- The Stickboy Coffee team was in Old Forge this weekend for the races. On Saturday, I ran the 5k and although it was not the pace I was looking for I finished 13th place out of a 120 ish people with a smile on my face!
On Sunday, we took on the 32 mile gravel bike race. I was doing really well and I was following Rich and Dre until I got a flat. I put a tube in only to flat again about 2 miles up. At this point, I no longer had a c2 cartridge so I ran a few miles to the next volunteer station. I found a volunteer that had a c2 and lucky for me I carried two tubes to this race. From there, I finished the race. The course was punchy, fast and pretty epic. Rich set out to complete it in 3 hours and he crushed his goal by finishing the race in 2 hours and 31 minutes. George finished 10th place and had a time of 2 hours and 1 minute. Dre finished in 2 hours and 37 minutes. Congratulations to Rich, George and Dre on your success!!!
I really enjoyed this weekend of racing and I am looking forward to it next year!
